Mohammed Chute (Marsabit)<\/strong>, provided an opportunity for the Agency to outline deliberate measures undertaken to align its human resource practices with constitutional principles on equality, diversity, and fair representation in public service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CRVWWDA delegation was led by<strong> Chief Executive Officer CPA Douglas Murei,<\/strong> accompanied by <strong>Director Dr. Daniel Tuitoek<\/strong> and members of the senior management team. In his presentation, the CEO highlighted targeted<strong> internship and industrial attachment programmes<\/strong> designed to enhance access to opportunities for <strong>youth, women, and individuals from marginalized and underrepresented communities.<\/strong> These initiatives, he noted, form part of the Agency\u2019s broader strategy to build an inclusive workforce while nurturing future professionals in the water sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"624\" height=\"351\" src=\"https:\/\/dev1.kenyaonline.com\/crvwda\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image2326.jpg\" alt=\"image2326\" class=\"wp-image-2535\" title=\"CRVWWDA Presents Inclusivity and Equal Opportunity Progress Report to Senate Committee\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev1.kenyaonline.com\/crvwda\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image2326.jpg 624w, https:\/\/dev1.kenyaonline.com\/crvwda\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image2326-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 624px) 100vw, 624px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>CPA Murei further reiterated CRVWWDA\u2019s commitment to <strong>fair, transparent, and merit-based recruitment processes<\/strong>, emphasizing that the Agency remains guided by national values and constitutional requirements on diversity and regional balance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the session, <strong>Nominated Senator Betty Montet<\/strong> commended the Agency for maintaining commendable standards in regional and gender representation, noting the Agency\u2019s efforts as a positive example within the public sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his closing remarks, Sen. Chute urged all public institutions to consistently uphold the principles of <strong>inclusivity, gender equity, and equitable regional representation<\/strong>, reiterating the Senate\u2019s oversight role in promoting accountability, professionalism and cohesion in public service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Members of the CRVWWDA management team present during the session included <strong>Mr. William Sakuda<\/strong>, Manager \u2013 Supply Chain Management; <strong>Ms. Leah Tanui<\/strong>, Manager \u2013 Human Resources and Administration; and <strong>Ms. Caren Lagat<\/strong>, Manager \u2013 Legal Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Agency continues to strengthen its institutional frameworks to ensure equal opportunity, diversity and inclusivity remain central to its mandate and
